Osso bucco comes from a cross-section of the shin of the beast. Like its equivalent from a lamb, the lamb shank, the bone and marrow in this cut impart rich flavour when slow cooked in wine and stock. Great served on a bed of risotto, polenta or, for traditional English style, mashed potatoes.
Julie Goodwin gives a good, simple recipe that is fail safe.

We've had Kangaroobie's Osso Bucco twice now this Winter and are so in love! The meat is so tender and flavourful. We made it for a dinner party and everyone raved about it too. Can't wait to have it again.

Osso Bucco is one of our winter favorites! Ideal for preparing in a slow cooker. The meat is delicious and of excellent quality.

Beautiful flavour and perfect for slow cooking recipes. Consider the addition of pearl barley which absorbs the depth of flavour brilliantly.
